The last paint by numbers I completed was about 6 years ago. My, times they are a changing. The last one was an 8 x 10 with about 10 colors. The 16 x 20 with 21 paints was fantastic. I am an artist and was just curious as to what this would be like as many I speak to want to paint, but don’t want to “learn” how to paint. This product is good quality and would be great for someone to do who has lots of time and a place to put it while working on it. Not a “do in a day” painting… will take a very long time which is great for many people as they will have something fun to do. My only suggestion would be to go and get some higher quality brushes. I took three weeks to paint Solar Crest. Had some problems that meant I couldn’t paint right. I closed the paint but the lid popped open. 6 was open all night and dried out. I had to improvise to make up for it. Adding picture.

While the custom order came out ok in the end , the colors were different than on the original picture. For example blue on the original was green on the canvas shipped . Also, the size was off …I ordered 16 x 20 but the painted portion on the actual canvas was only 13 x 20 …All in all I enjoyed the painting and will order again . Also , the shipping is super slow it generally takes 3-4 weeks to get once ordered .

I wish I could give this so many more stars. Nobody believes it is a paint by numbers kit. It was so relaxing and it was the first thing I hung in my new apartment. My only suggestion is to paint on a hard, flat surface with something underneath, because for me it was so therapeutic I got a lttle paint on the table! No big deal. 🙂

For once, I don’t have too many complaints about a kit. Paints were good, as were the canvas and brushes. Painting was well laid out and easy to follow. Lots of tiny sections (typical of famous art), and the lighter colors required 2 or 3 coats (also typical of most kits). This painting took a while to complete, but the end result was well worth it.

The numbers on the canvas are easy to read and the accompanying picture of the finished project helps. However, the paintbrushes are very cheap. the bristles came out and got distorted with use. The handles are plastic and broke after a few uses. Some of the paints arrived somewhat dried out and adding even a drop of water made them appear too transparent on the canvas. For the price, it is not a bad “rainy day project”.

I ordered this paint by numbers kit as physical therapy after repair of brain aneurysms left me with some nerve damage to my dominant arm and hand. The fine hand work required for this piece has help to decrease the numbness and pins + needles sensations, and improved functionality.
It was an added bonus for me to end up with a beautiful painting. I have also ordered a custom kit from one of my own photos.
The kits have come with everything needed. Plenty of paint and brushes.
The canvas has been a little to moderately wrinkled and the colors come out a little to dark.
I will definitely order more custom prints, but lighten the image before submitting.

I really enjoyed doing this painting. It was my first adult paint by numbers. I did run out of #2 and #4 though. I had to buy some craft paint at Hobby Lobby to finish. I wish the “purple” had actually been purple like the description picture shows, it all looks black on my painting. Other reviews show purple so I guess it’s hit or miss if they send the correct colors. 🙁
